Diese Europäische Norm enthält besondere Anforderungen an Einphasen-Spannungswandler, die in ortsfesten Anlagen von Wechselstrom-Bahnanwendungen eingesetzt werden. Die Europäische Norm behandelt Einphasen-Spannungswandler für Bahnanwendungen bei 15 kV/16 Hz- sowie 25 kV/50 Hz-Oberleitungen, deren Spannungen und Frequenzen in Übereinstimmung mit EN 50163 de¬finiert werden. Spannungswandler werden hauptsächlich eingesetzt für: - das Anzeigen der Spannung, - Messzwecke, - Schutzzwecke.

La présente Norme européenne s'applique aux transformateurs de courant monophasés utilisés sur les réseaux ferroviaires alimentés par des lignes en 15 kV 16 2/3 Hz et 25 kV 50 Hz. Ces tensions et fréquences sont définies conformément à la EN 50163. Les principales applications de ces transformateurs de tension sont: l'indication de la tension; la mesure; la protection.
