This European Standard specifies a method for a ring tensile test of tubes to reveal surface and interal defects by subjecting the test piece to strain until fracture occurs. This test may also be used to assess the ductility of tubes. The ring tensile test is applicable to tubes having an outside diameter exceeding 150mm and wall thickness not greater than 40mm. The inside diameter shall be greater than 100mm.

In dieser Europäischen Norm ist der Ringzugversuch für Rohre festgelegt. Er dient der Feststellung von Fehlern an der Oberfläche und im Querschnitt durch eine Beanspruchung einer Probe bis zum Bruch. Er kann auch zur Bestimmung der Umformbarkeit von Rohren angewandt werden. Der Ringzugversuch ist anwenbar auf Rohre mit einem Aussendurchmesser über 150mm und Wanddicken nicht grösser als40mm. Der Innendurchmesser muss grösser als 100mm sein.

L'essai de traction sur anneaux d'applique à des tubes de diamètre extérieur supérieur à 150mm et d'épaisseur de paroi ne dépassant pas 40mm. Le diamètre intérieur doit être supérieur à 100mm.
