Spectator facilities - Part 6: Demountable stands

This document specifies product characteristics for demountable stands at permanent or temporary entertainment venues, sports stadiums, sport halls and indoor and outdoor facilities. This document is not applicable to stands of a moveable type where last row of places for spectators is under 1 m height from the ground.
NOTE   It is recalled the attention to the fact that demountable stands used in Fairground and amusement park machinery and structures - Safety are covered by EN 13814:2004.

Dieses Dokument legt Produktmerkmale von demontierbaren Tribünen an dauerhaften oder zeitlich befristeten Veranstaltungsorten, Sportstadien, Sporthallen und Anlagen in Gebäuden oder im Freien, fest. Dieses Dokument ist nicht auf ortsveränderliche Anlagen anwendbar, deren letzte Zuschauerreihe sich weniger als 1 m über dem Boden befindet.
ANMERKUNG   Es wird daran erinnert, dass demontierbare Tribünen, die in "Fliegende Bauten und Anlagen für Veranstaltungsplätze und Vergnügungsparks - Sicherheit" verwendet werden, durch EN 13814:2004 abgedeckt sind.

Le présent document spécifie les caractéristiques des produits pour les tribunes démontables des lieux de divertissement permanents ou temporaires, des stades de sport et des salles de sport ainsi que des installations intérieures et extérieures. Le présent document ne s’applique pas aux tribunes de type mobile dont la dernière rangée de places destinées aux spectateurs est située à moins de 1 m de hauteur par rapport au sol.
NOTE   Il est rappelé que les tribunes démontables utilisées dans Machines et structures pour fêtes foraines et parcs d’attraction - Sécurité sont couvertes par l’EN 13814:2004.

This document (EN 13200-6:2020) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 315 “Spectator
facilities”, the secretariat of which is held by UNI.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by March 2021, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by March 2021.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN 13200-6:2012.
In comparison with the previous edition EN 13200-6:2012, the present text has been completely revised.
For example a new clause: Clause 5 “Design” has been added in relation to sightlines, basic specifications
for seats, deck structure and substructure.
Moreover, 5.4 “Loading” introduces new imposed vertical loads, isolated loads and horizontal loads, in
compliance with Eurocodes.
According to the CEN-CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organisations of the
following countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia,
Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland,

Introduction
This document has been prepared in order to specify the general design criteria for spectator facilities
(permanent, movable, demountable and telescopic), with the purpose of enabling their functionality.
Within this document, minimum and recommended values for dimensions are occasionally presented.
It shall be recognized that these values are to be considered as values that, in part, recognize different
national requirements as a basic provision.
Attention is drawn to the fact that in certain countries additional/different requirements may be
applicable due to existing national regulations or the equivalent.

1 Scope
This document specifies product characteristics for demountable stands at permanent or temporary
entertainment venues, sports stadiums, sport halls and indoor and outdoor facilities. This document is
not applicable to stands of a moveable type where last row of places for spectators is under 1 m height
from the ground.
