Die CEN-Mitglieder sind gehalten, die CEN/CENELEC-Geschäftsordnung zu erfüllen, in der die Bedingungen festgelegt sind, unter denen dieser Europäischen Norm ohne jede Änderung der Status einer nationalen Norm zu geben ist. Auf dem letzen Stand befindliche Listen dieser nationalen Normen mit ihren bibliographischen Angaben sind beim Management-Zentrum oder bei jedem CEN-Mitglied auf Anfrage erhältlich.

Foreword This document (EN 13965-2:2004) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 292 "Characterization of waste", the secretariat of which is held by NEN. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by June 2005, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by June 2005.

Einleitung Introduction Introduction Diese Europäische Norm wurde erarbeitet, um jene Organisationen zu unterstützen, die in unterschied-lichen Bereichen und unter verschiedenen Aspekten mit der Abfallwirtschaft befasst sind. Sie ist als Grund-lage und allgemeiner Sprachgebrauch bei der Ver-ständigung zwischen diesen Organisationen vorge-sehen. Diese Europäische Norm sollte immer im Hinblick auf das angestrebte Ziel benutzt werden, sei es z. B. zum Nachweis der Einhaltung von gesetz-lichen Bestimmungen oder Darstellung einer ver-traglichen Situation zwischen Partnern in der Kette der Abfallwirtschaft. This European Standard has been written to assist those organizations active in different areas and aspects of waste management. It is intended to be the base and common language in communication among those organizations. This European Standard should always be used in relation to the aim to be achieved, be it e.g. demonstration of compliance with regulative provisions or a contractual situation between parties in the waste management chain. La présente Norme européenne a été rédigée dans le but d’aider les organisations impliquées dans différents domaines et aspects de la gestion des déchets. Waste management terms are partly defined and used in European and EU Member State regulations. Those terms are included in the term list with a reference to the relevant official texts given in annex A.

B. für Erzeuger, die Abfallindustrie und Gesetzgeber auf dem Gebiet der Abfallbewirtschaftung bestimmt sind. Sie ist mit der im Rahmen des Managements und in den Regelwerken gebräuchlichen Sprache harmoni-siert. Enthalten sind, mit Verweisungen (siehe Anhang C), nationale Begriffe, die bei Bedarf definiert sind. In diesem Teil sind keine Begriffe enthalten, die sich auf einzelne Tätigkeiten beziehen. It is harmonized with the current language used in management as well as in regulation. It includes, with references (see annex C), national terms and definitions where such needs have been expressed. It does not include terms related to detailed activities.
