Standard EN 13120 + A1 določa zahteve, ki jih morajo notranja senčila izpolnjevati, ko so nameščena na stavbo. Obravnava tudi pomembna tveganja pri strojih, povezana s konstrukcijo, prevozom, namestitvijo, delovanjem in vzdrževanjem notranjih senčil (glej seznam pomembnih tveganj v dodatku B). Velja za notranja senčila ne glede na njihovo obliko in vrsto uporabljenega materiala, kot je navedeno spodaj: – žaluzije: prosto viseče, vodene, nezložljive; – rolete: prosto viseče, stransko vodene, z napeto tkanino; – navpična senčila: prosto viseča, z zgornjimi in spodnjimi vodili, nagnjeno zgornje vodilo; – plisirana senčila in senčila v obliki satovja: prosto viseča, vodena, stransko premična, napeta; – rimske zavese; – nabrane zavese; – panelne zavese; – polkna; – roloji. Ti proizvodi se lahko upravljajo ročno, z vzmetjo ali brez nje, ali z električnimi motorčki (električno upravljani proizvodi). Ta standard ne velja za draperije in zaščito pred insekti. Ne velja za senčila v zaprtih steklenih enotah z izjemo zahtev v zvezi z zaščito pred zadavljenjem. Vidiki v zvezi s hrupom v ten standardu niso obravnavani, ker se ne štejejo med vprašanja varnosti.
