Building hardware - Fittings for shutters - Requirements and test methods
This European Standard specifies performance requirements for the strength and durability of hardware for the operation of movable shutter sashes including requirements and test methods.
This European Standard is applicable to hardware for side-hung and top-hung shutters comprising one or more shutter sashes. The requirements and test methods of this European Standard are applicable to the following:
- shapes and dimensions of sash hinges, double-sashed shutter hinges and frame hinges
- shapes and dimensions of frame hinges and sash hinges with arrest function
Only the corrosion requirements of 4.7 are applicable to double-sash shutter latches, locking-rods, decorative corner-brackets, handles, stops without automatic arrest function, central hinges, shutter catches with automatic arrest function and other hardware components for window and door shutters.
NOTE 1 The sashes of side-hung shutters may have additional projecting shutter-inserts. The hardware for these projecting shutter-inserts is not covered by the scope of this European Standard.
NOTE 2 If due to the hardware fixing type or the dead weight of the described test shutter, this can not be used, a corresponding system sash with the same dimensions (800 mm wide 1 400 mm high) can be tested.
This is particularly valid for hardware used exclusively in a complete modular system from a systems manufacturer (consisting of the hardware components, frame profiles and panel units as well as the necessary fixing materials).
NOTE 3 Tower bolts and locking-rods should conform to EN 12051.
NOTE 4 Fixings used to attach hardware to shutters are not covered by this European Standard.

Schlösser und Baubeschläge - Beschläge für Fensterläden - Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren
Die vorliegende Europäische Norm legt Leistungsanforderungen hinsichtlich der Festigkeit und Dauerfunktionstüchtigkeit von Beschlägen für die Betätigung der beweglichen Flügel von Fensterläden sowie die entsprechenden Prüfverfahren fest.
Diese Europäische Norm ist auf die Beschläge anwendbar, die für Drehflügelläden mit einem oder mehreren Flügeln geeignet sind. Die Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren dieser Norm sind auf Folgendes anwendbar:
sämtliche Formen und Maße von Ladenbändern, Bändern für Doppelfensterläden und Ladenkegeln;
sämtliche Formen und Maße von Ladenkegeln und Ladenbändern mit Arretierfunktion.
Die Anforderungen an die Korrosionsbeständigkeit in 4.7 sind nur auf Verriegelungen von Doppelfensterläden, Stangenverschlüsse, Zierwinkel, Handgriffe, Anschläge ohne automatische Arretierfunktion, Mittelbänder, Ladenhalter mit automatischer Arretierfunktion und sonstige Bauteile von Beschlägen für Läden von Fenstern und Türen anwendbar.
ANMERKUNG 1 Die Flügel von an der Seite befestigten Läden können zusätzlich Ausstelläden aufweisen. Die Beschläge für diese Ausstelläden werden durch den Anwendungsbereich dieser Europäischen Norm nicht abgedeckt.
ANMERKUNG 2 Wenn infolge der Befestigungsart der Beschläge oder des Eigengewichtes des beschriebenen Prüfladens dieser nicht verwendbar ist, kann der Flügel eines entsprechenden Systems mit denselben Maßen (800 mm breit und 1 400 mm hoch) geprüft werden.
Dies gilt insbesondere für Beschläge, die ausschließlich in einem Modulsystem eines Herstellers von Systemen verwendet werden (bestehend aus Beschlagelementen, Profilrahmen und Paneelen sowie Befestigungen).
ANMERKUNG 3 Schubriegel und Stangenverschlüsse sollten den Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren der EN 12051 entsprechen.
ANMERKUNG 4 Befestigungsvorrichtungen, die für das Anbringen von Beschlägen an Fensterläden benutzt werden, werden in dieser Europäischen Norm nicht behandelt.
Quincaillerie pour le bâtiment - Ferrures pour volets - Exigences et méthodes d'essai
La présente Norme européenne spécifie des exigences de performance en matière de résistance et d’endurance des ferrures pour manœuvre des vantaux de volets mobiles, ainsi que les exigences et méthodes d’essai correspondantes.
La présente Norme européenne s’applique aux ferrures de volets battants et de volets à axe horizontal supérieur à un ou plusieurs vantaux. Les exigences et les méthodes d’essai de la présente Norme européenne s’appliquent :
aux formes et aux dimensions des branches femelles des paumelles, des paumelles de volets à doubles vantaux et des branches mâles de paumelles ;
aux formes et aux dimensions des paumelles avec fonction d’arrêt.
Seules les exigences du 4.7 relatives à la corrosion sont applicables aux fléaux de volets à doubles vantaux, crémones verrous, renforts d’angle décoratifs, poignées, butées sans fonction d’arrêt automatique, aux paumelles médianes, arrêts de volet avec fonction d’arrêt automatique et autres pièces des ferrures de volets pour fenêtres et portes.
NOTE 1 Les vantaux des volets battants peuvent comporter des tampons saillants supplémentaires. Les ferrures de ces tampons ne relèvent pas du domaine d’application de la présente Norme européenne.
NOTE 2 Si le volet d’essai décrit ne peut être utilisé du fait de son poids mort et du type de fixation des ferrures, il est possible de soumettre à essai un système de vantail de correspondant ayant les mêmes dimensions (800 mm de large 1 400 mm de haut).
Cela concerne en particulier les ferrures utilisées exclusivement dans un système modulaire complet d’un fabricant de système (comprenant les pièces des ferrures, les profils de châssis et les panneaux ainsi que les matériaux de fixation nécessaires).
NOTE 3 Il convient que les verrous et les crémones verrous soient conformes à l’EN 12051.
NOTE 4 La présente Norme européenne ne traite pas des fixations utilisées pour fixer les ferrures sur les volets.
