This document specifies the characteristics, test methods, qualification and acceptance conditions of single and multicore electric cables for general purpose with conductors in aluminium or copper-clad aluminium, intended for installation in aircraft electrical systems.
The insulation of these cables is designed to withstand aircraft voltages at a frequency not exceeding 2 000 Hz. Unless specified by individual product standards the maximum demonstrated voltage of rating of these cables is ac 115 V rms phase to neutral and 200 V rms phase to phase and 28 Vdc.
They are divided into types, the characteristics of which are given in the product standards. Unless otherwise specified in the product standard, the tests defined in this standard apply.

Dieses Dokument legt die Eigenschaften, Prüfverfahren, Qualifikations und Abnahmebedingungen für einadrige und mehradrige elektrische Leitungen mit Leitern aus Aluminium oder kupferbeschichtetem Aluminium, die zur allgemeinen Verwendung und zur Montage in elektrischen Systemen von Luftfahrzeugen bestimmt sind, fest.
Die Isolierung dieser Leitungen ist für Spannungen in Luftfahrzeugen mit einer Frequenz von höchstens 2 000 Hz ausgelegt. Sofern nicht durch einzelne Produktnormen vorgegeben beträgt die maximal nachgewiesene Bemessungsspannung für diese Leitungen 115 V eff Wechselspannung (Phase Neutralleiter), sowie 200 V eff (Phase Phase) und 28 V Gleichspannung.
Die Leitungen sind in Typen aufgeteilt, deren Eigenschaften in den Produktnormen angegeben sind. Falls in der Produktnorm nicht anders festgelegt, sind die in dieser Norm festgelegten Prüfungen anzuwenden.

Le présent document spécifie les caractéristiques, les méthodes d’essais, les conditions de qualification et de réception des câbles électriques mono et multiconducteurs, d’usage général, avec des conducteurs en aluminium ou en aluminium chemisé cuivre destinés à l’installation dans les systèmes électriques à bord des aéronefs.
L’isolant de ces câbles est prévu pour résister aux tensions des aéronefs à une fréquence n’excédant pas 2 000 Hz. Sauf indication contraire dans les normes de produit individuelles, la tension nominale maximale démontrée de ces câbles est de 115 V rms phase à neutre, et de 200 V rms phase à phase et 28 V c.c.
Ils sont divisés en types dont les caractéristiques sont données dans les normes de produit. Sauf indication contraire dans la norme de produit, les essais définis dans cette norme s’appliquent.

Ta dokument določa lastnosti, preskusne metode ter pogoje za odobritev in sprejetje eno- ali večžilnih električnih kablov za splošne namene z vodniki iz aluminija ali aluminija z bakrenimi oblogami, namenjenih za namestitev v električne sisteme letal. Izolacija teh kablov je zasnovana tako, da prenese napetosti letala pri frekvenci do 2000 Hz. Največja uporabljena napetost pri ocenjevanju teh kablov je 115 V RMS za fazno napetost in 200 V RMS za medfazno napetost pri izmeničnem toku ter 28 V pri enosmernem toku, razen če standardi za posamezne proizvode določajo drugače. Razdeljeni so na tipe, lastnosti katerih so podane v standardih za proizvode. Uporabljajo se preskusi, določeni v tem standardu, razen če je v standardu za proizvod navedeno drugače.

Association of Europe — Standardization (ASD-STAN).
After enquiries and votes carried out in accordance with the rules of this Association, this Standard has
received the approval of the National Associations and the Official Services of the member countries of
ASD, prior to its presentation to CEN.
This document shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text

1 Scope
This document specifies the characteristics, test methods, qualification and acceptance conditions of
single and multicore electric cables for general purpose with conductors in aluminium or copper-clad
aluminium, intended for installation in aircraft electrical systems.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in EN 3475-100 and the following
apply.

4 Materials and construction of cables
4.1 Conductors
They shall conform to EN 4651 or EN 3719 unless otherwise specified.
4.2 Finished cables
The insulation material shall present a uniform circular cross-section throughout the length of the cable.
Covering over the insulation shall be treated and applied in such a manner that the cables present a
smooth appearance and are able to accept marking.
All materials used shall have no corrosive effect upon the conductors and shall not be susceptible to attack
by mould or other micro-organisms.
5 Required characteristics
The characteristics of the cables, tested according to the methods described hereafter shall comply with
the values given in the product standard.
6 Tests methods
See Table 1 for single core cables and Table 2 for multicore cables without jackets.
