- Fixed length supply must be stated in the order; fixed length tolerances are given in Table 2.

- Squareness tolerance is defined as half the fixed length tolerance range (applies to both fixed and random lengths).
- Form tolerances
- Ovality: defined as the difference between maximum and minimum diameters measured in one cross-section. Maximum permissible ovality is 50% of the diameter tolerance range specified in Table 1.
- Straightness: measured with the bar on a horizontal base plate against a straight edge (see Figure 1). Straightness tolerances (per metre and localized kink limits) are provided in Table 3.
- Special cases: for diameters < 10 mm, straightness tolerances are to be agreed between supplier and purchaser. Straightness tolerances do not automatically apply to tempers O and Tx51 unless agreed.
