Machines for underground mines - Safety requirements for hydraulic powered roof supports - Part 1: Support units and general requirements
This standard specifies the safety requirements for support units when used as specified by the manufacturer or his authorised representative. Examples of support units are frame supports, chock supports, shield supports, paired frames and push-pull support systems including the components of advancing and anchoring devices which provide support functions. This part of the standard excludes fixing elements on the conveyor, coal-winning equipment, power set legs and rams, valves, hydraulic and electro-hydraulic control units, lighting and signalling facilities and other ancillary equipment.
NOTE Some components are dealt with in other parts of this standard.
This standard applies to support units used at temperatures from -10° C to 60° C.
This standard also applies to support components and support accessories which are provided if the support unit is fitted with stowing equipment. This standard identifies and takes account of:
- Possible hazards which may be caused by the operation of support units;
- Areas and operating conditions which may create such hazards;
- Hazardous situations which may cause injury or may be damaging to health;
This standard describes methods for the reduction of these hazards.
A list of hazards covered appears in clause 4.
This European standard does not establish the additional requirements for:
- Specially corrosive environments;
- Hazards occurring during construction, transportation, decommissioning;
- Earthquake.
This standard is applicable to all support units placed on the market for the first time, which are manufactured after the date on which this standard was published.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Sicherheitsanforderungen für die vom Hersteller oder seinem bevollmächtigten
Vertreter vorgesehene bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung von Ausbaugestellen fest. Beispiele für Ausbaugestelle
sind: Ausbaurahmen, Ausbauböcke, Ausbauschilde, Ausbaugespanne und Ausbauzüge einschließlich der
Rückeinrichtungen und der Teile von Abspannungen, welche Ausbaufunktionen haben, jedoch ausschließlich der
Anschlagelemente am Förderer, der Gewinnungseinrichtungen, der Stempel und Zylinder, der Ventile, der
hydraulischen und elektrohydraulischen Steuerungseinrichtungen, der Beleuchtungs- und Signaleinrichtungen
sowie sonstiger Hilfseinrichtungen.
ANMERKUNG Einige Komponenten werden in anderen Teilen dieser Normenreihe behandelt.
Diese Norm gilt für Ausbaugestelle, die bei Umgebungstemperaturen zwischen −10 °C bis 60 °C eingesetzt
werden.
Diese Norm bezieht sich ebenfalls auf Ausbauteile und Ausbauzubehör, die vorgesehen sind, wenn das
Ausbaugestell mit Versatzeinrichtungen ausgerüstet wird. Diese Norm identifiziert und berücksichtigt:
⎯ die Gefährdungen, die womöglich durch den Betrieb von Ausbaugestellen hervorgerufen werden;
⎯ die Gefahrenbereiche und die Betriebsbedingungen, die irgendeine Gefährdung verursachen und
⎯ die Situationen, die zu Gefährdungen führen können, die eine Verletzung oder Gesundheitsschädigung
verursachen.
Diese Norm beschreibt Methoden zur Reduzierung dieser Gefährdungen.
Abschnitt 4 enthält eine Liste der behandelten Gefährdungen.
Diese Europäische Norm spezifiziert keine zusätzlichen Anforderungen für:
⎯ besonders korrosive Umgebung;
⎯ Risiken bei Herstellung, Transport und Außerbetriebnahme;
⎯ Erdbeben.
Diese Norm gilt für alle Ausbaugestelle, die nach dem Ausgabedatum dieser Norm erstmalig in Verkehr gebracht
wurden.

La présente norme précise les exigences de sécurité pour les unités de soutènement lorsqu’elles sont utilisées tel que spécifié par le fabricant ou son mandataire. Les exemples d’unités de soutènement sont les piles à flèche, piles monoblocs, piles-boucliers, piles à file et systèmes de soutènement «push-pull» y compris les composants de dispositifs d'avancement et d'ancrage qui assurent le soutènement du toit. La présente partie de la norme exclut les éléments de fixation sur le convoyeur, les équipements d'abattage du charbon, les étançons et vérins à pose mécanisée, les soupapes, les unités de commande hydrauliques et électro-hydrauliques, les installations d'éclairage et de signalisation et les autres équipements auxiliaires.
NOTE Certains équipements sont traités dans d’autres parties de cette norme.
Cette norme s’applique aux unités de soutènement utilisées à des températures comprises entre – 10 °C et 60 °C.
Cette norme s'applique également aux composants et accessoires du soutènement fournis lorsque l'unité de soutènement est munie d'équipements de remblayage. La présente norme identifie et tient compte :
— des risques potentiels pouvant résulter de l’utilisation des unités de soutènement ;
— des zones et des conditions d’utilisation susceptibles de créer de tels risques ;
— des situations dangereuses susceptibles d’entraîner des blessures ou pouvant affecter la santé.
La présente norme décrit des méthodes de réduction de ces phénomènes dangereux.
Une liste des phénomènes dangereux couverts est donnée à l’article 4.
Cette norme européenne ne définit pas d’exigences supplémentaires concernant :
— les milieux environnants particulièrement corrosifs ;
— les risques dus à la construction, au transport et à la mise hors service ;
— les tremblements de terre.
La présente norme est applicable à toutes les unités de soutènement commercialisées pour la première fois après leur fabrication qui suit la date de publication de la présente norme.
