This European Standard specifies equipment and accessories for road tankers used for the transport of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and identifies the equipment that is considered necessary to ensure that filling, transportation and discharge operations can be carried out safely. The standard also identifies additional equipment and accessories that may be used on road tankers carrying LPG. NOTE This European Standard should not exclude the use of alternative designs, materials and equipment testing which provide a similar level of safety. This standard does not apply to "tank-containers" and "battery-vehicles" used for the transportation of LPG.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Ausstattung und das Zubehör von Straßentankwagen fest, die zum Transport von Flüssiggas (LPG) eingesetzt werden, und beschreibt die als notwendig betrachtete Ausrüstung zur sicheren Durchführung von Füll-, Transport- und Entleerungsvorgängen. La présente norme européenne spécifie les équipements et accessoires pour camions citernes destinés au transport de gaz de pétrole liquéfiés (GPL) et identifie les équipements considérés comme nécessaires pour que les opérations de chargement, de transport et de déchargement puissent être effectuées correctement. Cette norme identifie également les équipements et accessoires supplémentaires qui peuvent être utilisés sur des camions citernes destinés au transport de GPL. NOTE Il convient que la présente norme européenne n'exclue pas l'utilisation de concepts, de matériaux et de méthodes d'essais des équipements qui diffèrent s'ils présentent un niveau de sécurité équivalent.
