This European Standard specifies the component/product performance characteristics which may be necessary for the design and dimensioning of residential ventilation systems to ensure the predetermined comfort conditions of temperature, air velocity, humidity and sound in the occupied zone. It defines those performance characteristics which shall be measured and presented according to relevant test methods, and other performance characteristics which are optional but which may be required, e.g. to comply with local or national regulations.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Leistungskenngrößen von Bauteilen/Produkten fest, die für die Auslegung und Bemessung von Lüftungsanlagen für Wohnungen erforderlich sein können, um die zuvor ermittelten Behaglichkeitsbedingungen bezüglich Temperatur, Luftgeschwindigkeit, Luftfeuchte und Schall im Aufent-haltsbereich zu erreichen.
Die Norm definiert die Leistungskenngrößen (verbindlich vorgeschrieben oder frei wählbar), die nach den entsprechenden Prüfverfahren zu messen und darzustellen sind. Die Entscheidung darüber, welche Anforderungen verbindlich vorgeschrieben und welche frei wählbar sind, ist den jeweiligen Ländern entsprechend ihren nationalen Vorschriften überlassen.
Die vorliegende Norm gilt für die folgenden Bauteile/Produkte:
¾ Außenwand- und Überströmluftdurchlässe;
¾ Abluft- und Zuluftdurchlässe;
¾ Dunstabzugshauben;
¾ Ventilatoren;
¾ Hauben und Dachfortluftdurchlässe;
¾ Baueinheiten für Abluftanlagen für einzelne Wohnungen;
¾ mechanische Zuluft- und Ablufteinheiten.
Diese Norm gilt nicht für weitere Produkte, wie Filter, Brandschutzklappen, Luftleitungen, Steuer- und Regel-einrichtungen, Schalldämpfer, die ebenfalls in einer Wohnungslüftung enthalten sein können.
Die vorliegende Norm deckt keine Anforderungen Europäischer Richtlinien, wie beispielsweise der Nieder-spannungsrichtlinie und der EMV-Richtlinie, sowie weitere Anforderungen, beispielsweise hinsichtlich Korrosion, Widerstand und Eindringen von Schnee, ab.

La présente norme européenne spécifie les caractéristiques de performance des composants/produits qui peuvent être nécessaires pour la conception et le dimensionnement des systèmes de ventilation des logements de façon à assurer les conditions prédéterminées de confort en température, vitesse de l'air, humidité et bruit dans la zone occupée.
