1.1  This document specifies the methods of preparation of test specimens and the test methods to be used in determining the properties of poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) moulding and extrusion materials. 1.1   Dieses Dokument legt die Verfahren zur Herstellung von Probekörpern und die anzuwendenden Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung der Eigenschaften von Polymethylmethacrylat (PMMA)-Formmassen fest. Es enthält die Anforderungen hinsichtlich der Handhabung des Prüfwerkstoffs und hinsichtlich der Konditionierung des Prüfwerkstoffs vor der Formgebung und der Probekörper vor dem Prüfen.
1.2   Dieses Dokument legt Verfahren und Bedingungen für die Herstellung von Probekörpern und Verfahren zur Messung der Eigenschaften der Materialien, aus denen diese Probekörper bestehen, fest. In ihm werden Eigenschaften und Prüfverfahren, die zur Charakterisierung von Polymethylmethacrylat (PMMA)-Formmassen geeignet und notwendig sind, aufgeführt.
1.3   Die Eigenschaften wurden aus den allgemeinen Prüfverfahren in ISO 10350 1 ausgewählt. Andere Prüfverfahren, die für diese Formmassen breite Anwendung finden oder für diese von besonderer Bedeutung sind, sind ebenfalls in diesem Dokument enthalten, ebenso wie die in ISO 24026 1 festgelegten bezeichnenden Eigenschaften.
