ISO 16106:2006 gives guidance on quality management provisions applicable to the manufacture, measuring and monitoring of design type approved dangerous goods packagings, intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) and large packagings.
ISO 16106:2006 can only be used in combination with ISO 9001:2000; it is not a stand-alone document.
It does not apply to design type testing, for which reference is made to 6.1.5, 6.5.4 and 6.6.5 of the United Nations Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods. Model Regulations, fourteenth revised edition.

Diese Internationale Norm kann nur im Zusammenhang mit der ISO 9001:2000 verwendet werden und ist kein isoliert anzuwendendes Dokument.
Sie ist nicht für die Bauartprüfung anzuwenden, auf die unter 6.1.5, 6.5.4 und 6.6.5 der UN-Empfehlungen [1] verwiesen wird.

L'ISO 16106:2006 propose des lignes directrices concernant les dispositions de management de la qualité applicables à la production, à la mesure et à la surveillance du modèle type approuvé pour les emballages, les grands récipients vrac (GRV) et les grands emballages pour marchandises dangereuses.
L'ISO 16106:2006 ne peut être utilisée que conjointement avec l'ISO 9001:2000 et ne constitue pas une norme «autonome».

Foreword
This document (EN ISO 16106:2006) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC
261 "Packaging", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR, in collaboration with Technical
Committee ISO/TC 122 "Packaging".
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication
of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by September 2006, and conflicting
national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by September 2006.
According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of
the following countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium,
Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary,
