This European standard specifies requirements for four types of rubber covered spiral wire reinforced hydraulic hoses and hose assemblies of nominal bore from 6 to 51. They are suitable for use with: hydraulic fluids in accordance with ISO 6743-4 with the exception of HFD R, HFD S and HFD T at temperatures ranging from -40°C to +100°C for types 4SP and 4SH and -40°C to +100°C for types R12 and R13; water based fluids at temperatures ranging from -40°C to 70°C; water fluids at temperatures ranging from 0°C to +70°C.

La présente norme européenne prescrit les exigences pour 4 types de tuyaux et flexibles revêtus de caoutchouc, renforcés par des fils métalliques en spirale dont les diamètres nominaux vont de 6 à 51. Ils sont destinés à être utilisés avec: les fluides hydrauliques selon ISO 6743-4 à l'exception des HFD R, HFD S et HFD T, selon une plage de température de -40°C à +100°C pour les tuyaux de types 4SP et 4SH et de -40°C à +120°C pour ceux de types R112 et R13; les fluides aqueux selon des plages de température de -40°C à +70°C; l'eau dans des plages de température de 0°C à +70°C.
