This European Standard describes a method of test to determine the propensity of a conveyor belt to generate heat flame or glow when held stationary under a given tension, in surface contact around a rotating driven steel drum. Means of varying the belt tension are described. Note: For certain belt types, due to their construction, it may not be possible to conduct this test due to the inability of the belt to comply with the requirements of 6.2.3.
Fördergurte - Prüfung der Trommelreibung
Diese Europäische Norm legt zwei Prüfverfahren fest, mit denenm die Tendenz eines Fördergurts zum Entflammen oder zum Glimmen beurteilt werden können, wenn er bei einer vorgegebenen Spannung in Kontakt mit einer umlaufenden Stahltrommel gehalten wird. Methoden zur Veränderung der Spannung des Fördergurts werden beschrieben. Anmerkung: Für bestimmte Arten von Fördergurten läßt sich diese Prüfung möglicherweise aufgrund der Gurtkonstruktion nicht durchführen, weil die Anforderungen von 6.2.3. nicht erfüllt werden.

Le présent projet de norme européenne spécifie deux méthodes d'essai permettant de déterminer l'aptitude ou non d'une courroie transporteuse à générer une inflammation ou une incandescence lorsque, maintenue immobile sous une tension donnée, elle frotte suivant une demi-circonférence sur la surface du tambour tournant en acier. Les moyens utilisés pour faire varier la tension de la courroie sont décrits. Note: Pour certains types de courroies, en raison de leur structure, il peut s'avérer impossible d'effectuer cet essai du fait de l'inaptitude de la courroie à se conformer aux exigences de 6.2.3
