Standard ISO 283:2015 določa metodo preskušanja za določanje natezne trdnosti pri polni debelini po vzdolžni osi in raztezka pri referenčni sili ter točke preloma trakov tračnih transporterjev s trupom iz tekstila. To metodo je mogoče uporabiti tudi za določanje natezne moči pri polni debelini v transverzalni smeri ter raztezka pri točki preloma, za uporabo v primerih, kjer kupec od proizvajalca zahteva navedbe vrednosti za te lastnosti.
Standard ISO 283:2015 se ne uporablja oziroma ni veljaven za lahke trakove tračnih transporterjev, opisane v standardu ISO 21183-1.

EN ISO 283:2023 (ISO 283:2023) is the CEN-endorsed test method for determining full thickness tensile strength, elongation at break, and elongation at the reference load of textile‑carcass conveyor belts. The standard specifies how to prepare, condition and test full‑thickness specimens taken from conveyor belts, and how to report tensile strength (N/mm) and elongation (percentage). It applies to both longitudinal testing and, where requested by the purchaser, transverse tensile strength and elongation at break. It does not apply to light conveyor belts covered by ISO 21183‑1.

    • Reference force = one‑tenth of nominal tensile strength × specimen width.

belts (including veebelts)" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 188 “Conveyor belts” the
secretariat of which is held by SNV.
