To propose, validate and revise referee methods for the analysis of steels and ferrous materials by wet chemistry analysis (gravimetry, titration, spectrophotometry, etc.). The selection of the topics to be handled are based either on the result of enquiries launched by CEN/TC 459/SC 2 or on proposals made within the WG.

General Information
This document specifies a spectrophotometric method for the determination of phosphorus in steel and cast iron.
The method is applicable to phosphorus contents between 0,001 0 % (mass fraction) and 1,0 % (mass fraction).
