Personal protective equipment against falls from a height - Energy absorbers
This European Standard specifies the requirements, test methods, marking, information supplied by the manufacturer and packaging for energy absorbers. Energy absorbers conforming to this European Standard are used as elements or components either integrated in a lanyard, an anchor line or a full body harness or in combination with one of them.
Combinations of an energy absorber and a lanyard are sub-systems constituting one of the fall arrest systems covered by prEN 363, when combined with a full body harness specified in EN 361.
Fall arresters are specified in EN 353-1, EN 353-2 and EN 360.

Diese Europäische Norm legt Anforderungen, Prüfverfahren, Kennzeichnung, Informationen des Herstellers und Verpackung für Falldämpfer fest. Falldämpfer, die dieser Europäischen Norm entsprechen, werden als Einzelteile oder Bestandteile entweder integriert in ein Verbindungsmittel, eine Führung oder einen Auffanggurt oder in Kombination mit diesen verwendet.
Kombinationen eines Falldämpfers mit einem Verbindungsmittel sind Teilsysteme und bilden in Kombination mit einem Auffanggurt nach EN 361 eines der Auffangsysteme nach EN 363.
Auffanggeräte sind in EN 353-1, EN 353-2 und in EN 360 festgelegt.
Equipement de protection individuelle contre les chutes de hauteur - Absorbeurs d'energie
La présente Norme européenne spécifiée les exigences, les méthodes d'essai, le marquage, la notice d'information du fabricant et l'emballage des absorbeurs d'énergie. Les absorbeurs d'énergie conformes a la présente norme européenne sont utilisés comme éléments ou composants, soit intégrés dans une longe, un support d'assurage ou un harnais d'antichute, soit combinés avec l'un d'entre eux.
Les combinaisons d'un absorbeur d'énergie et d'une longe sont des sous-systemes qui constituent l'un des systemes d'arret des chutes couverts par le prEN 363, lorsqu'ils sont associés a un harnais d'antichute spécifié dans l'EN 361.
Les antichutes sont spécifiés dans l'EN 353-1, l'EN 353-2 et l'EN 360.
