This amendment A11 modifies the Harmonization Document HD 60364-7-708:2017; it was approved by CENELEC on 2022-09-05.
CENELEC members are bound to comply with the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations which stipulate the conditions for implementation of
this amendment at national level.
Up-to-date lists and bibliographical references concerning such national implementations may be obtained on application to the CEN-
CENELEC Management Centre or to any CENELEC member.
This amendment exists in three official versions (English, French, German).

This document HD 60364-7-708:2017/A11:2024 has been prepared by CLC/TC 64 “Electrical installations and
protection against electric shock”.
The following dates are fixed:

1 Modification to Clause 708.3, “Terms and definitions”
In 708.3.1.2, after the term “motor caravan” add “camping car”.
In 708.3.1.3, after the term “mobile home” add “caravan holiday home”.
2 Modification to Clause 708.4, “Protection for safety”
In 708.443.4, add the following Note:
“
NOTE Camping and caravan parks are considered to be commercial premises.”
3 Modification to Clause 708.5, “Selection and erection of electrical equipment”
In 708.512.2.1.101, add the following after the first paragraph:
“Where the electrical equipment may be subjected to water jets due to washing etc., equipment shall be
selected with a degree of protection of at least IPX5 in order to protect against the possibility of jets of water
from any direction (AD5), or alternative measures such as jet wash deflection barriers or screens used.
NOTE This requires an additional enclosure for EN 60309 socket-outlets, as the user’s connecting plug is unlikely to
be of the IP67 type.”
In 708.55.101.2, replace the first paragraph with:
“Every socket-outlet shall be located as close as practicable to the caravan pitch or tent pitch to be supplied in
order to minimize the need for extension cables to cross gangways, etc.”
In 708.55.101.3, replace the first paragraph with:
