This document specifies the determination of free melamine in coated and uncoated wood-based-panels.
NOTE 1   It is also applicable to other wood-based products, to other solid products e.g. impregnates or decorative paper and to liquid products (e.g. adhesives).
The determination of melamine is performed by extraction in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and subsequent high-performance chromatography (HPLC) analysis and ultraviolet (UV) detection.
NOTE 2   For determination of melamine in foodstuff EN 16858 is applicable. For determination of melamine in animal feeding stuffs EN 17212 is applicable. For determination of melamine in textiles EN ISO 1833 26 is applicable.

Dieses Dokument legt die Bestimmung von freiem Melamin in beschichteten und unbeschichteten Holzwerkstoffen fest.
ANMERKUNG 1   Es ist auch für andere Holzprodukte, andere feste Produkte, z. B. Imprägnate oder Dekorpapiere, sowie flüssige Produkte (z. B. Klebstoffe) anwendbar.
Die Bestimmung von Melamin erfolgt durch Extraktion in Dimethylsulfoxid (DMSO) und anschließender Hochleistungschromatographie-Analyse (HPLC-Analyse, en: high-performance chromatography analysis) und Ultraviolettdetektion (UV-Detektion).
ANMERKUNG 2   Zur Bestimmung von Melamin in Lebensmitteln ist EN 16858 anwendbar. Zur Bestimmung von Melamin in Futtermitteln ist EN 17212 anwendbar. Zur Bestimmung von Melamin in Textilien ist EN ISO 1833 26 anwendbar.

Le présent document spécifie la détermination de la mélamine libre dans des panneaux à base de bois revêtus et non revêtus.
NOTE 1   Il est également applicable à d'autres produits à base de bois, à d'autres produits solides, comme des produits d’imprégnation ou du papier décoratif, et à des produits liquides (par exemple, des adhésifs).
La détermination de la mélamine est effectuée par extraction dans du diméthylsulfoxyde (DMSO), puis au moyen d'une analyse par chromatographie liquide à haute performance (HPLC) et d'une détection ultraviolet (UV).
NOTE 2   Pour la détermination de la mélamine dans les produits alimentaires, l'EN 16858 est applicable. Pour la détermination de la mélamine dans les aliments pour animaux, l'EN 17212 est applicable. Pour la détermination de la mélamine dans les textiles, l'EN ISO 1833 26 est applicable.

This European Standard describes a method for assessing the resistance of wood-based panel products to attack by wood-destroying basidiomycete fungi growing in pure culture.
The method is applicable to uncoated, rigid wood-based panel products. It is applicable to the determination of the decay resistance of wood-based panel products:
— made from naturally durable materials;
— made from materials treated with preservatives prior to manufacture;
— treated with a preservative which is introduced during manufacture, for example as an additive to the adhesive;
— treated with preservative after manufacture.
NOTE 1 This method can be used in conjunction with an appropriate ageing procedure, for example EN 73 or EN 84.
NOTE 2 Wood-based panel products that have received a preservative treatment after manufacture can be susceptible to attack through the cut edges of the test specimens and the decay resistance indicated can be less than that of complete panels used in service.
