EN 12945:2014/FprA1 (CEN) specifies two titrimetric methods for determination of the neutralizing value (NV) of liming materials. The amendment clarifies calculation and reporting, adds conversion tables between CaO and OH equivalents, and updates formulae used to convert titration results into NV. Method A is applicable to all liming materials except silicate types; Method B is applicable to all liming materials. Both methods have limitations for materials containing more than 3% P2O5 - for agronomic assessment of such products the liming efficiency should be determined according to EN 14984.
