This European Standard specifies a method to determine the colour change of white or bright coloured leather surfaces caused by adhesives and/or their basic constituents migrating from the reverse sides to their upper surfaces.
This change of colour may be caused either by the adhesive directly or by adhesive coatings on materials used in footwear manufacture, e.g. adhesive coated linings for ironing, toe-puffs, reinforcing tapes or bonded materials.

Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Farbänderung weißer oder hellfarbiger Lederoberflächen fest, die von Klebstoffen und/oder ihren Basiskomponenten durch Migration von der Rück-seite weißer oder hellfarbiger Leder auf deren Oberseite hervorgerufen wird.
Diese Farbänderung kann entweder unmittelbar durch den Klebstoff selbst oder durch Klebstoffschichten auf Werkstoffen verursacht werden, die bei der Schuhherstellung verwendet werden, z. B. klebstoffbeschichtete, einbügelbare Futterstoffe, Schuhkappen, Verstärkungsbänder oder bereits geklebte Materialien.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie une méthode de détermination du changement de couleur des surfaces de cuir blanc ou de couleurs claires lié à la migration des adhésifs et/ou de leurs constituants de base, des revers vers les faces supérieures.
Ce changement de couleur peut être causé, soit directement par l’adhésif, soit par les revêtements adhésifs présents sur les matériaux utilisés dans la fabrication des chaussures, par exemple les doublures enduites d’adhésifs, les raidisseurs de bout, les rubans de renfort ou les matériaux enduits.
