Foreword
ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies
(ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO
technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been

have been technically revised.

Introduction
Some chain-saw designs will have the rear handle so offset from the guide-bar centreline that the impact point
for the blow will only partly hit the guard. A minimum distance from the guard edge has therefore been added.
The point of hit for the durability test has also been clarified.

Introduction
La conception de certaines scies à chaîne auront un tel déport sur la poignée arrière par rapport à l'axe du
guide chaîne que le point d'impact pour le choc ne frappera que partiellement le dispositif de protection de la
main. Une distance minimum depuis le bord du dispositif de protection de la main a donc été ajoutée.
Le point d'impact pour l'essai de durabilité a également été clarifié.
