BRIEF HISTORY
The IS0 Recommendation R 470, Dimensions and Conductor Resistance of Heat-Resisting
(190 "C) Electrical Cables with Copper Conductors, for Aircraft, was drawn up by Technical
Committee ISO/TC 20, Aircraft, the Secretariat of which is held by the British Standards Insti-
tution (BSI).
Work on this question by the Technical Committee began in 1958 and led, in 1960, to the
adoption of a Draft IS0 Recommendation.
In November 1960, this Draft IS0 Recommendation (No 418) was circulated to all the
IS0 Member Bodies for enquiry. It was approved by the following Member Bodies:

Canada Israel Sweden
Chile Italy Turkey
Czechoslovakia Japan United Kingdom
Fin 1 and Netherlands Yugoslavia
France New Zealand

HISTORIQUE
La Recommandation ISO/R 470, Dimensiotis et résistance électrique des câbles électriques
pour température élevée (190 C), à âme en cuivre, pour circuits de bord des aéroizefs, a été
élaborée par le Comité Technique ISO/TC 20, Aéronautique, dont le Secrétariat est assuré par la
British Standards Institution (BSI).
Les travaux relatifs à cette question furent entrepris par le Comité Technique en 1958 et
aboutirent en 1960 à l’adoption d’un Projet de Recommandation ISO.
En novembre 1960, ce Projet de Recommandation IS0 (NO 418) fut soumis à l’enquête
de tous les Comités Membres de 1’1SO. I1 fut approuvé par les Comités Membres suivants:
