FOREWORD
1) The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is a worldwide organization for standardization comprising
all national electrotechnical committees (IEC National Committees). The object of IEC is to promote international
co-operation on all questions concerning standardization in the electrical and electronic fields. To this end and
in addition to other activities, IEC publishes International Standards, Technical Specifications, Technical Reports,
Publicly Available Specifications (PAS) and Guides (hereafter referred to as "IEC Publication(s)"). Their

INTRODUCTION
The IEC 63356 series (LED light source characteristics) is split into two parts:
– IEC 63356-1: Data sheets
The scope of IEC 63356-1 covers data sheets that are comprehensive specifications for
unique LED light sources (LED lamp or LED module). These are full specifications for
products including, where necessary, information on interchangeability aspects, for example
mechanical, electrical, optical.
Each data sheet in IEC 63356-1 relates to an individual type of LED lamp or LED module.
– IEC 63356-2: Design parameters and values
The scope of IEC 63356-2 covers design parameters and values that are used in the design
of an LED light source (LED lamp or LED module) or a related component. IEC 63356-2
does not provide full product specifications but includes important interface aspects (e.g.
mechanical, electrical, optical) that should be considered in the design of LED light sources
and related components.
1 Scope
This part of IEC 63356 specifies data sheets of LED lamps and LED modules with a series of
parameters per data sheet for a specific LED light source that enables interchangeability
between products from different LED light source manufacturers.

4.1 General
Dimensions are specified at a temperature of (25 ± 5) °C, unless otherwise specified in the data
sheet.
4.2 Numbering system
Data sheets are numbered so that:
– the first part represents the number of the publication "63356-1", followed by the letters
"IEC";
– the second three-digit number represents the data sheet group;
– the third four-digit number represents the data sheet number;
– the fourth single-digit number represents the data sheet version.
NOTE In cases where a data sheet comprises more than one page, all pages of the specific data sheet are issued
with the same updated version number.
Data sheet numbers are grouped as follows:
– single-capped LED lamp data sheets:
• non-integrated 100-xxxx;
• semi-integrated 110-xxxx;
• integrated 120-xxxx;

FOREWORD
1) The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is a worldwide organization for standardization comprising

INTRODUCTION
The IEC 63356 series (LED light source characteristics) is split into two parts:
– IEC 63356-1: Data sheets
The scope of IEC 63356-1 covers data sheets that are comprehensive specifications for
unique LED light sources (LED lamp or LED module). These are full specifications for
products including, where necessary, information on interchangeability aspects, for example
mechanical, electrical, optical.
Each data sheet in IEC 63356-1 relates to an individual type of LED lamp or LED module.
– IEC 63356-2: Design parameters and values
The scope of IEC 63356-2 covers design parameters and values that are used in the design
of an LED light source (LED lamp or LED module) or a related component. IEC 63356-2
does not provide full product specifications but includes important interface aspects (e.g.
mechanical, electrical, optical) that should be considered in the design of LED light sources
and related components.
1 Scope
This part of IEC 63356 specifies data sheets of LED lamps and LED modules with a series of
parameters per data sheet for a specific LED light source that enables interchangeability
between products from different LED light source manufacturers.
NOTE Compliance criteria relating to data sheet parameters in this document are covered by IEC 63220 for safety,

4.1 General
Dimensions are specified at a temperature of (25 ± 5) °C, unless otherwise specified in the data
sheet.
4.2 Numbering system
Data sheets are numbered so that:
– the first part represents the number of the publication "63356-1", followed by the letters
"IEC";
– the second three-digit number represents the data sheet group;
– the third four-digit number represents the data sheet number;
– the fourth single-digit number represents the data sheet version.
NOTE In cases where a data sheet comprises more than one page, all pages of the specific data sheet are issued
with the same updated version number.

Figure 3 shows the dimensions used in conjunction with the relevant data sheet for a GJ6.6
LED lamp.
Dimension C is the inner distance between windows in GJ6.6 caps.
Dimension D is the maximum dimension of the cross-section of the LED tube.
NOTE 1 The LED tube can be of any shape.
NOTE 2 GJ6.6, GJ6.6t, GJ6.6d-1 and GJ6.6d-2-x cap dimensions are specified in IEC 60061-1.

1) La Commission Électrotechnique Internationale (IEC) est une organisation mondiale de normalisation composée
de l'ensemble des comités électrotechniques nationaux (Comités nationaux de l'IEC). L'IEC a pour objet de
favoriser la coopération internationale pour toutes les questions de normalisation dans les domaines de
l'électricité et de l'électronique. À cet effet, l'IEC – entre autres activités – publie des Normes internationales,
des Spécifications techniques, des Rapports techniques, des Spécifications accessibles au public (PAS) et des
Guides (ci-après dénommés "Publication(s) de l'IEC"). Leur élaboration est confiée à des comités d'études, aux
travaux desquels tout Comité national intéressé par le sujet traité peut participer. Les organisations

L'IEC 63356-1 a été établie par le sous-comité 34A: Sources lumineuses électriques, du comité
d'études 34 de l'IEC: Éclairage. Il s'agit d'une Norme internationale.
Cette troisième édition annule et remplace la deuxième édition parue en 2023. Cette édition
constitue une révision technique.
Cette édition inclut les modifications techniques majeures suivantes par rapport à l'édition
précédente:
a) ajout des feuilles de caractéristiques pour les lampes à LED à culots GJ6.6d-2-x.

INTRODUCTION
La série IEC 63356 (Caractéristiques de source lumineuse à LED) est divisée en deux parties:
– IEC 63356-1: Feuilles de caractéristiques
Le domaine d'application de l'IEC 63356-1 couvre les feuilles de caractéristiques qui sont
des spécifications complètes pour les sources lumineuses à LED uniques (lampe à LED ou
module de LED). Il s'agit de spécifications complètes des produits qui comprennent, le cas
échéant, des informations sur les aspects d'interchangeabilité, par exemple mécanique,
électrique, optique.
Chaque feuille de caractéristiques de l'IEC 63356-1 se rapporte à un type particulier de
lampe à LED ou de module de LED.
– IEC 63356-2: Paramètres et valeurs de conception
Le domaine d'application de l'IEC 63356-2 couvre les paramètres et valeurs de conception
qui sont utilisés dans la conception d'une source lumineuse à LED (lampe à LED ou module
de LED) ou d'un composant associé. L'IEC 63356-2 ne fournit pas les spécifications
complètes du produit, mais inclut les aspects importants de l'interface (par exemple,
mécanique, électrique, optique) qu'il convient de prendre en compte dans la conception des
sources lumineuses à LED et des composants associés.
1 Domaine d'application
La présente partie de l'IEC 63356 spécifie les feuilles de caractéristiques des lampes à LED et
des modules de LED à l'aide d'une série de paramètres par feuille de caractéristiques pour une
source lumineuse à LED spécifique qui permet l'interchangeabilité entre les produits de
différents fabricants de source lumineuse à LED.

4 Vue d'ensemble et informations communes
4.1 Généralités
Sauf spécification contraire dans la feuille de caractéristiques, les dimensions sont indiquées
à une température de (25 ± 5) °C.
4.2 Système de numérotation
Les feuilles de caractéristiques sont numérotées de la manière suivante:
– la première partie représente le numéro de la publication "63356-1", suivi des lettres "IEC";
– le deuxième nombre à trois chiffres représente le groupe de la feuille de caractéristiques;
– le troisième nombre à quatre chiffres représente le numéro de la feuille de caractéristiques;
– le quatrième nombre à un chiffre représente la version de la feuille de caractéristiques.
NOTE Lorsqu'une feuille de caractéristiques comporte plusieurs pages, toutes ses pages sont publiées sous le
même numéro de version mis à jour.
Les numéros de feuille de caractéristiques sont regroupés comme suit:
– feuilles de caractéristiques de lampe à LED à culot unique:
• non intégrée: 100-xxxx;
• semi-intégrée: 110-xxxx;
• intégrée: 120-xxxx;

6.2.1 Informations schématiques pour repérer les dimensions d'une lampe
La Figure 3 montre les dimensions utilisées conjointement avec la feuille de caractéristiques
correspondante de lampe à LED GJ6.6.
La dimension C est la distance interne entre les fenêtres des culots GJ6.6.
La dimension D est la dimension maximale de la section transversale du tube de LED.
NOTE 1 Le tube de LED peut être de n'importe quelle forme.

FOREWORD
1) The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is a worldwide organization for standardization comprising
all national electrotechnical committees (IEC National Committees). The object of IEC is to promote international
co-operation on all questions concerning standardization in the electrical and electronic fields. To this end and
in addition to other activities, IEC publishes International Standards, Technical Specifications, Technical Reports,

INTRODUCTION
The IEC 63356 series (LED light source characteristics) is split into two parts:
– IEC 63356-1: Data sheets
The scope of IEC 63356-1 covers data sheets that are comprehensive specifications for
unique LED light sources (LED lamp or LED module). These are full specifications for
products including, where necessary, information on interchangeability aspects, for example
mechanical, electrical, optical.
Each data sheet in IEC 63356-1 relates to an individual type of LED lamp or LED module.
– IEC 63356-2: Design parameters and values
The scope of IEC 63356-2 covers design parameters and values that are used in the design
of an LED light source (LED lamp or LED module) or a related component. IEC 63356-2
does not provide full product specifications but includes important interface aspects (e.g.
mechanical, electrical, optical) that should be considered in the design of LED light sources
and related components.
1 Scope
This part of IEC 63356 specifies data sheets of LED lamps and LED modules with a series of
parameters per data sheet for a specific LED light source that enables interchangeability
between products from different LED light source manufacturers.
NOTE Compliance criteria relating to data sheet parameters in this document are covered by IEC 63554 or
IEC 62031 for safety, and IEC 63555 for performance.

4.1 General
Dimensions are specified at a temperature of (25 ± 5) °C, unless otherwise specified in the data
sheet.
4.2 Numbering system
Data sheets are numbered so that:
– the first part represents the number of the publication "63356-1", followed by the letters
"IEC";
– the second three-digit number represents the data sheet group;
– the third four-digit number represents the data sheet number;
– the fourth single-digit number represents the data sheet version.
NOTE In cases where a data sheet comprises more than one page, all pages of the specific data sheet are issued
with the same updated version number.
Data sheet numbers are grouped as follows:
