Ta mednarodni standard določa metodo merjenja porabe energije  televizijskih sprejemnikov, video snemalne opreme, dodatnih ohišij (STBs), avdio opreme in večfunkcijske opreme za potrošniško uporabo. Televizijski sprejemniki vključujejo, vendar niso omejeni na sprejemnike z CRT, LCD, PDP ali projekcijsko tehnologijo.
