Audio, video, and related equipment - Determination of power consumption - Part 2: Signals and media

IEC 62087-2:2023 is available as IEC 62087-2:2023 RLV which contains the International Standard and its Redline version, showing all changes of the technical content compared to the previous edition. IEC 62087-2:2023 specifies the signals used to determine the power consumption of audio, video, and related equipment, such as television sets and computer monitors. It also specifies signals for determining the peak luminance ratio that is sometimes associated with television set power consumption measurement programs. In addition, this part specifies equipment, interfaces, and accuracy related to signal generation. IEC 62087-2:2023 cancels and replaces the first edition published in 2015. This edition constitutes a technical revision. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition: a) HDR and UHD video test signals have been added; b) dynamic box and outline test signals have been added, replacing the static box and outline test signals; c) all test signals are provided as media files for download from a specified IEC online repository, which replaces previous DVD and Blu-ray media.

L'IEC 62087-2:2023 spécifie les signaux utilisés pour déterminer la consommation de puissance des appareils audio, vidéo et du matériel connexe, tels que les téléviseurs et les moniteurs d'ordinateurs. Elle spécifie également des signaux pour déterminer le rapport de luminance de crête qui est parfois associé aux programmes de mesurage de la consommation de puissance des téléviseurs. En outre, la présente partie spécifie le matériel, les interfaces ainsi que l'exactitude associés à la génération de ces signaux. L'IEC 62087-2:2023 annule et remplace la première édition parue en 2015. Cette édition constitue une révision technique. Na voljo je standard IEC 62087-2:2023, ki vsebuje mednarodni standard in njegovo različico z revizijami, ki prikazujejo vse spremembe tehnične vsebine v primerjavi s prejšnjo izdajo.
Standard IEC 62087-2:2023 določa signale, ki se uporabljajo za ugotavljanje porabe energije avdio, video in sorodne opreme, kot so televizorji in računalniški zasloni. Določa tudi signale za ugotavljanje najvišjega razmerja svetilnosti, ki se včasih povezuje s programi za merjenje porabe energije pri televizorjih. Poleg tega ta del določa opremo, vmesnike in natančnost v povezavi z ustvarjanjem signalov. Standard IEC 62087-2:2023 razveljavlja in nadomešča prvo izdajo, objavljeno leta 2015. The text of document 100/3771/CDV, future edition 2 of IEC 62087-2, prepared by Technical Area 12
"AV energy efficiency and smart grid applications" of IEC/TC 100 "Audio, video and multimedia
systems and equipment" was submitted to the IEC-CENELEC parallel vote and approved by
CENELEC as EN IEC 62087-2:2023.
The following dates are fixed:
• latest date by which the document has to be implemented at national (dop) 2023-12-24
level by publication of an identical national standard or by endorsement
• latest date by which the national standards conflicting with the (dow) 2026-03-24
document have to be withdrawn
This document supersedes EN 62087-2:2016 and all of its amendments and corrigenda (if any).
