This European Standard specifies a method for the simultaneous determination of nine sweeteners in beverages and canned or bottled fruits by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with evaporative light scattering detection (HPLC-ELSD). -   dulcin (DUL) (from 55,0 mg/l to 115,1 mg/l) in beverages and (from 49,8 mg/kg to 172,6 mg/kg) in canned fruits;
-   neotame (NEO) (from 37,6 mg/l to 115,3 mg/l) in beverages and (from 37,3 mg/kg to 173,7 mg/kg) in canned fruits;

This document specifies a method for the determination of the ratio of stable isotopes of carbon (13C/12C) of sugars contained in honey by using liquid chromatography coupled to an isotope ratio mass spectrometer (LC-IRMS) for compound separation and subsequent determination of the 13C/12C ratio of mono-, di-, and trisaccharides. These ratios can be used to assess honey authenticity by comparing them to guidance values of genuine honey, which have been previously agreed by subject matter experts, as the 13C/12C ratios of sugars of genuine honey and sugars contained in adulterants (syrups made from starch-rich plants or from sugar cane or sugar beet) differ to a certain extent.

This document is applicable to decorative fireplaces that require manual user interaction for ignition, filling, re-filling or extinguishing the fireplace.
NOTE 2   The fireplaces can contain some electric or electronic components.
This document is applicable to fireplaces ready for use, whose fuel box is of one unit or is an integral component of the fireplace but not to fireplaces with a fuel tank separate from the fireplace.
This document does not apply to fireplaces specifically designed for heating food or keeping food warm (rechauds), nor does it apply to fireplaces for use in boats, caravans, other vehicles or outdoor areas.
This document does not apply to fireplaces with a power output higher than 4,5 kW or with a defined heating function.
NOTE 3   National regulations can restrict the power output to less than 4,5 kW.
