Railway applications - Brake indicators - Part 1: Pneumatically operated brake indicators
This European Standard specifies the requirements for the design, dimensions, performance and testing of single/double brake indicators with or without electrical contacts. It applies to pneumatically operated brake indicators visible from the outside of the vehicle.
NOTE Brake indicators are for giving precise and accurate information about release and application of the brake.
This European Standard applies to brake indicators on railway vehicles used on the main national networks, urban networks, underground railways, trams and private networks (regional railways, company railways etc.).

Diese Europäische Norm bestimmt die Anforderungen für Konstruktion, Maße, Leistung und Versuche für
einfache/doppelte Bremsanzeigevorrichtungen mit oder ohne elektrische Kontakte. Sie gilt für pneumatische
Bremsanzeiger, die außerhalb des Fahrzeuges sichtbar sind.
ANMERKUNG Bremsanzeigevorrichtungen dienen dazu, deutliche und genaue Informationen über das Lösen und
Anlegen der Bremse zu geben.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt für Bremsanzeigevorrichtungen in Eisenbahnfahrzeugen, die auf den nationalen
Hauptstrecken, S-Bahnstrecken, Untergrundbahnen, Straßenbahnstrecken und privaten Strecken (Regionalbahnen,
Werksbahnen, etc.) eingesetzt werden.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les exigences à respecter pour la conception, les dimensions, les
performances et les essais des indicateurs de frein simples/doubles avec ou sans contacts électriques. Elle
s'applique aux indicateurs de frein pneumatiques visibles depuis l'extérieur du véhicule.
NOTE Les indicateurs de frein servent à donner des informations sures et précises sur le serrage et le desserrage
des freins.
Cette Norme européenne s'applique aux indicateurs de frein des véhicules ferroviaires utilisés par les réseaux
principaux nationaux, les réseaux urbains, métropolitains, les tramways et les réseaux privés (chemins de fer
régionaux, compagnies privées, etc.).
