Footwear - Test methods for whole shoe - Thermal insulation (ISO 20877:2011)

ISO 20877:2011 specifies a method for measuring insulation of footwear against heat or cold, in order to provide information for assessing footwear comfort.
ISO 20877:2011 is applicable to all types of closed footwear or boots, except footwear used as personal protective equipment.

Diese Internationale Norm gilt für alle Arten geschlossener Schuhe oder Stiefel, außer für Schuhe, die als
persönliche Schutzausrüstung verwendet werden.

L'ISO 20877:2011 spécifie une méthode permettant de mesurer la capacité des chaussures à isoler du froid ou de la chaleur, afin de fournir des informations pour l'évaluation du confort des chaussures.
L'ISO 20877:2011 s'applique à tous les types de chaussures fermées ou de bottes, à l'exception des chaussures utilisées comme équipements de protection individuelle.

This document (EN ISO 20877:2011) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 309 "Footwear",
the secretariat of which is held by AENOR, in collaboration with Technical Committee ISO/TC 216 "Footwear".
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by March 2012, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at
the latest by March 2012.
