This European standard specifies a routine method for preparing a sample of a soil improver or a growing media prior to chemical analysis and physical testing. The procedures described herein apply only to those samples that are supplied to the laboratory in the form in which they shall be used for their intended purpose. Note 1: This method is not applicable to liming materials or sewage sludges and is not suitable for materials like rockwool and foam slabs. Note 2: The determination of the laboratory compacted bulk density is given in Annex A.

Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Routineverfahren für die Herstellung einer Probe eines Bodenverbesserungsmittels oder Kultursubstrates vor der chemischen und der physikalischen Untersuchung fest. Das beschriebene Verfahren gilt nur für solche Proben, die dem Labor in dem Zustand, in dem sie für einen bestimmten Zweck verwendet werden, zur Verfügung gestellt werden. ANMERKUNG 1 Das Verfahren gilt nicht für Calcium-/Magnesium-Bodenverbesserungsmittel oder Klärschlämme und ist für Materialien wie Gesteinswolle und Schaumplatten ungeeignet.

Les modes opératoires qu'elle décrit s'appliquent aux échantillons fournis au laboratoire sous la forme qui sera celle de leur utilisation finale. Note 1: La méthode n'est pas applicable aux amendements calciques et/ou magnésiens, ni aux boues d'épandage et ne convient pas aux matériaux tels que la laine de roche et les mousses.Note 2:La détermination de la masse volumique compactée en laboratoire est donnée en Annexe A.
