This standard specifies the characteristics of plugs in the family of circular electrical connectors coupled by threaded ring. It applies to the models defined in table 3. For contacts, filler plugs and rear accessories associated with this plug, see ENN 2997-002. For receptacles and protective covers, see EN 2997-003 to EN 2997-007 and EN 2997-010 respectively.

Diese Norm legt die Eigenschaften der freien Steckverbinder der Familie der elektrischen Rundsteckverbinder mit Schraubkupplung fest. Sie gilt für die in Tabelle 3 festgelegten Bauformen. Für die für diesen freien Steckverbinder verwendbaren Kontakte, Blindstopfen und rückseitigen Zubehörteile, siehe EN 2997-002.
