This European standard specifies safety requirements for design and construction of unloaders mounted in stationary round silos for the removal of the silage and similar materials. It applies to electrically powered, slowly rotating unloaders which operate on top surface of the stored silage surface. It describes methods for the elimination or reduction of hazards for which specific requirements on unloaders as defined in 3 and shown in Annex B, are necessary. In addition, it specifies the type of information to be provided by the manufacturer on safe working practices.

Diese Europäische Norm enthält sicherheitstechnische Anforderungen für die Gestaltung und Konstruktion von Entnahmegeräten eingebaut in stationären Rundsilos für Gärfutter und ähnliche Materialien. Sie gilt für elektrisch angetriebene, oberhalb der Silagefläche angeordnete, langsam rotierende Entnahmegeräte. Sie beschreibt Maßnahmen zur Vermeidung oder Verminderung von Gefährdungen, für die spezifische Anforderungen an Entnahmegeräte entsprechend den Begriffen im Abschnitt 3 und Anhang B benötigt werden.

La présente Norme Européenne détermine les prescriptions de sécurité pour la conception et la construction des désileuses installées dans les silos cylindriques stationnaires pour le déplacement de l'ensilage et des matériaux similaires. Elle s'applique aux désileuses à rotation lente alimentées électriquement, qui travaillent au niveau de la surface supérieure de l'ensilage.
