1.1 This European Standard specifies requirements for continuously hot-dip zinc coated flat products in thicknesses up to and including 3,0 mm - unless otherwise agreed at the time of ordering - made of the steel given in 4.1 and Table 1. The thickness is the final thickness of the delivered product after zinc coating. This European Standard applies to strip of all widths and to sheets cut from it (>/- 600 mm width) and cut lengths (< 600 mm width). The types of coating, coating masses and coating finishes available, and surface qualities are given in Tables 2 to 4 (see also 7.2 to 7.4).

Die lieferbaren Arten, Auflagegewichte und Ausführungen des Überzuges sowie die Oberflächenarten sind in den Tabellen 2 bis 4 angegeben (siehe auch 7.2 bis 7.4).

1.1 La présente norme européenne a pour objet de définir les prescriptions relatives aux produits plats, galvanisés à chaud en continu en aciers définis en 4.1 et au tableau 1, et dont l'épaisseur est inférieure ou égale à 3,0 mm sauf indication contraire à la commande. L'épaisseur considérée est l'épaisseur finale du produit livré après galvanisation. La présente norme européenne est applicable aux bandes (bobines) de toutes largeurs ainsi qu'aux tôles qui en sont issues (largeur >/- 600 mm) et aux "bandes refendues coupées à longueur" (largeur < 600mm) qui y sont découpées.
