This standard specifies a method for testing the leaktightness of end-load bearing joints, e.g. cemented joints and assembled joints (excluding fusion- welded joints), between mechanical fittings and thermoplastics pipes under internal water pressure, including end thrust, of diameters up to and including 90mm. The method is applicable regardless of the design and material of the fitting used for jointing pipes.

Diese Norm legt ein Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung der Dichtigkeit von zugfesten Verbindungen, z. B. mechanische und Klebeverbindungen (ausgenommen Schweissverbindungen) unter Innendruck mittels Wasser und unter Axialbeanspruchung zwischen mechanischen Formstücken und thermoplastischen Druckrohren mit einem Durchmesser bis 90mm fest. Das Verfahren ist anwendbar unabhängig von Konstruktion und Werkstoff des Formstückes, das für die Rohrverbindung verwendet wird.

Cette norme spécifie une méthode d'essai pour la vérification de l'étanchéité des assemblages avec effet de fond, par exemple assemblages mécaniques ou collés, (à l'exclusion des joints soudés par fusion) entre raccords mécaniques et tubes thermoplastiques sous pression d'eau interne, avec effet de fond, jusqu'à un diamètre égal à 90mm. Cette méthode est applicable quelles que soient la matière et la conception du raccord utilisé pour le raccordement des tubes.
