Windows and doors - Watertightness - Test method
This standard defines the conventional method to be used to determine the watertightness of completely assembled windows and doors of any materials. This test method is designed to take account of conditions in use, when the windows or door is installed in accordance with the manufacturer's specification and the requirements of relevant european standards and codes of pratice. This standard does not apply to the joints between the window and door frame and the building construction.

Diese Europäische Norm legt das Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung der Schlagregendichtheit von vollständig zusammengebauten und fertiggestellten Fenstern und Türen aller Materialien fest. Die Prüfung erfolgt unter Berücksichtigung der Nutzungsbedingungen von Fenstern und Türen, montiert nach den Empfehlungen der Hersteller oder den Anforderungen der entsprechenden Europäischen Normen und den Regelwerken der Baupraxis. Diese Norm gilt nicht für Fugen, die zwischen den Fenster- und Türrahmen und der Baukonstruktion liegen.

La présente norme européenne définit la méthode conventionnelle à utiliser pour déterminer l'étanchéité à l'eau de fenêtres et de portes complètement montées, quels que soient les matériaux constitutifs. Cette méthode d'essai est conçue pour tenir compte des conditions en oeuvre quand la fenêtre ou la porte est installée selon les spécifications du fabricant et les prescriptions des normes européennes et des régles de mise en oeuvre appropriées. La présente norme ne s'applique pas aux joints entre le dormant de la fenêtre ou de la porte et la structure du bâtiment.
