Ta evropski standard podaja varnostne zahteve ter načine njihovega preverjanja, za načrtovanje in konstrukcijo ščitnikov, ki jih je mogoče odstraniti le z orodjem, ki se uporabljajo za zaščito premičnih delov pogonskih prenosov samognanih strojev, na katerih se upravljavec vozi, ter nošenih, polnošenih in vlečenih strojev, ki se uporabljajo v kmetijstvu. Poleg tega opredeljuje vrste podatkov glede varnih delovnih postopkov (vključno s preostalimi tveganji), ki jih mora zagotoviti proizvajalec.
