Mixing machinery for coating materials - Safety requirements - Part 1: Mixing machinery for use in vehicle refinishing

This European Standard applies to the design and construction of mixing machinery for liquid coating materials equipped with container of maximal volume £ 10 l used by vehicle refinishers and their coating materials distributors.
The pressure related parts of the machines covered are classified as no higher than category I under article 9 of the Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC.
NOTE   Pressure related parts of the machines referred to in this European Standard exceeding the limits of category I may lead to additional application of the Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC.
This European Standard deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations and events relevant to mixing machinery mentioned above, when they are used as intended and under the conditions foreseen by the manufacturer (see Clause 4).
Mixing machinery can operate by stirring or vibrating (shaking) and consists of the following equipment:
-   cabinet;
-   stirrer;
-   vibrator;
-   shaker;
-   drive unit and related devices;
-   container for coating material;
-   safety, measuring and control devices;
-   lighting;
-   heating equipment and/or air conditioning inside the mixing cabinet.
The mixing machinery may be fixed or mobile.
1.2   The following is excluded from this European Standard:
-   Mixing machinery intended for:
-   pressure vessels;
-   open or closed material containers larger than 10 l;
-   hand-held mixing tools.
1.3   This European Standard is not applicable to mixing machinery which are manufactured before the date of publication of this European Standard by CEN.

Mischgeräte für Beschichtungsstoffe - Sicherheitsanforderungen - Teil 1: Mischgeräte zur Verwendung in der Fahrzeugreparaturlackierung

1.1   Diese Norm gilt für Konstruktion und Herstellung von Mischgeräten für flüssige Beschichtungsstoffe mit einer Behältergröße von £10  l zur Verwendung in der Fahrzeugreparaturlackierung und deren Zulieferern von Beschichtungsstoffen.
Die durch diese Norm abgedeckten druckbetriebenen Teile der Maschinen dürfen die in Artikel 9 der Druckgeräte-Richtlinie 97/23/EG festgelegte Kategorie I nicht übersteigen.
ANMERKUNG   Die druckbetriebenen Teile von Maschinen, auf die in dieser Norm verwiesen wird und die die Kategorie I der Druckgeräterichtlinie übersteigen, können zu einer zusätzlichen Anwendung der Druckgeräte-Richtlinie führen.
Diese Norm behandelt alle signifikanten Gefährdungen, Gefährdungssituationen und Gefährdungsereignisse, die auf Mischgeräte zutreffen, wenn sie bestimmungsgemäß und entsprechend den vorhersehbaren Bedingungen des Herstellers verwendet werden (siehe Abschnitt 4).
-Mischgeräte sind können für den Rühr- oder Rüttelbetrieb ausgelegt sein und sind mit folgender Ausrüstung ausgestattet:
und können z. B. folgende Komponenten enthalten:
-Mischschrank;
-Rührwerker;
-Rüttler;
-Antriebseinheit mit zugehörigen Einrichtungen;
-drucklose Behälter für den Beschichtungsstoff (Rührbehälter);
-Sicherheits-, Mess- und Regeleinrichtungen;
-Beleuchtung;
-Heiz- und/oder Klimatisierungssystem innerhalb des Mischschrankes.
Das Mischgerät kann ortsfest oder ortsbeweglich sein.
Die Begrenzungen des Mischgerätes sind durch die äußeren Abmessungen gegeben.
Diese Norm behandelt alle signifikanten Gefährdungen, die auf o. g. Mischgeräte zutreffen, wenn sie bestimmungsgemäß und entsprechend den vorhersehbaren Bedingungen des Herstellers verwendet werden (siehe Abschnitt 4).
1.2   Diese Norm gilt nicht für:

-   Mischgeräte mit
-   Druckbehältern;
-   offenen und geschlossenen Materialbehälter Behältern für Beschichtungsstoffe mit mehr als 10 l Inhalt;
-   handgeführte MischwWerkzeuge.

Machines à homogénéiser des produits de revêtement - Prescriptions de sécurité - Partie 1 : Machines à homogénéiser destinées à être utilisées pour la réfection des peintures d'automobiles

1.1   Le présent document s'applique à la conception et à la fabrication des machines à homogénéiser les produits de revêtement liquides équipées d'un réservoir d'un volume maximal £ 10 l, et utilisées par les peintres-carrossiers et leurs distributeurs de produits de revêtement.
Les parties sous pression des machines couvertes sont classées au maximum dans la catégorie I selon l'Article 9 de la Directive 97/23/CE Équipements sous pression.

Les machines à homogénéiser peuvent être fixes ou mobiles.
1.2   Le présent document exclut les équipements suivants :
-   les machines à homogénéiser destinées aux :
-   récipients sous pression ;
-   réservoirs pour produits de revêtement ouverts ou fermés d'un volume supérieur à 10 l ;
-   les outils d'homogénéisation portatifs.
1.3   Le présent document ne s'applique pas aux machines à homogénéiser construites avant sa date de publication par le CEN.
