This European Standard specifies the characteristics and performance requirements of natural stone masonry units manufactured from natural stone the thickness of which is equal to or greater than 80 mm, used in load bearing or non-loadbearing masonry structures for internal or external applications. All kinds of manufactured stone are excluded. It defines the performance related to strength, petrographic description, density, porosity, dimensional accuracy, thermal conductivity, water absorption, and frost resistance, measured according to the corresponding test methods contained in separate European Standards. It also contains references to fire and acoustic properties.
It provides for the evaluation of conformity of the product to this European Standard. The marking requirements for products covered by this European Standard are also included..
Festlegungen für Mauersteine - Teil 6: Natursteine
Diese Europäische Norm legt die Eigenschaften und Leistungsanforderungen an Mauersteine fest, die aus Naturstein mit einer Dicke >= 80 mm hergestellt und für den Innen- oder Außenbereich von tragenden oder nichttragenden Mauerwerksbauten verwendet werden. Die Norm gilt nicht für Betonwerksteine. Sie stellt dar, wie die Anforderungen an Festigkeit, petrographische Zusammensetzung, Dichte, Porosität, Maßgenauigkeit, Wärmeleitfähigkeit, Wasseraufnahme und Frostwiderstand, bestimmt nach den entsprechenden, in gesonderten Europäischen Normen festgelegten Prüfverfahren, erfüllt werden. Die Norm bezieht sich auch auf Brandschutz- und Schallschutzeigenschaften. Ferner legt sie die Bewertung der Konformität der Produkte nach dieser Europäischen Norm fest. Die Anforderungen an die Kennzeichnung der von dieser Europäischen Norm erfassten Produkte sind ebenfalls enthalten.

La présente norme européenne spécifie les caractéristiques et les exigences de performances des éléments de maçonnerie en pierre naturelle, dont l'épaisseur est égale ou supérieure à 80 mm, utilisés dans les structures de maçonnerie porteuses ou non pour des applications intérieures ou extérieures. Tous les types de pierre reconstituée sont exclus. La présente norme définit les performances relatives à la résistance, la description pétrographique, la masse volumique, la porosité, la précision dimensionnelle, la conductivité thermique, l'absorption d'eau et la résistance au gel, mesurées conformément aux méthodes d'essai correspondantes fournies dans des normes européennes distinctes.
