This standard specifies test methods for flexible and reduced articulation spigot and socket joints, including double-socket joints, with elastomeric sealing elements for above ground and buried glass-reinforced thermosetting plastics (GRP) pipeline applications. It covers methods of test for the leaktightness and resistance to damage of the joint only, when subject to specified combinations of longitudinal extension (draw), angular movement (angular deflection), vertical compression (misalignment) and internal pressure.

Diese Norm legt Prüfverfahren für flexible und eingeschränkt bewegliche Muffen- und Spitzenden-Verbindungen einschließlich Doppelmuffen mit elastomeren Dichtelementen fest, die in ober- und unterirdischen Rohrleitungen aus glasfaserverstärkten duroplastischen Kunststoffen (GFK) zur Anwendung kommen. Sie umfaßt nur Prüfverfahren zur Dichtigkeit und zur Widerstandsfähigkeit gegen Beschädigung für die Verbindung, wenn diese den festgelegten Kombinationen von Längsverschiebung (Auszug), Winkelbewegung (Abwinkelung), vertikaler Belastung (Versatz) und Innendruck ausgesetzt wird.
