Natural stone test methods - Determination of water absorption at atmospheric pressure

This European Standard specifies a method for determining the water absorption of natural stone – see
EN 12670 for terminology and EN 12440 for denomination - by immersion in water at atmospheric pressure.

Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Prüfverfahren fest, mit dem die Wasseraufnahme von Naturstein - siehe
EN 12670 für die Terminologie und EN 12440 für die Bezeichnung - durch Eintauchen in Wasser bei
atmosphärischem Druck bestimmt werden kann.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie une méthode de détermination de l’absorption d’eau de la pierre naturelle voir l’EN 12670 pour la terminologie et l’EN 12440 pour les critères de dénomination  par immersion dans l’eau à pression atmosphérique.

the secretariat of which is held by UNI.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by October 2008, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at
the latest by October 2008.
