IEC 62822-3:2023 applies to equipment for resistance welding and allied processes designed for occupational use by professionals and for use by laymen.
More generally, this document covers equipment for which the welding current flows in an electrical circuit whose geometry cannot be changed and regardless of the technology of the current generator (for example LF-AC, MF-DC for spot or seam welding or capacitive discharge used for stud welding).
This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition published in 2017. This edition constitutes a technical revision.
This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition:
a) inclusion of the uncertainties in the results of the assessment;
b) simplification of the methods of exposure assessment.

IEC 60974-10:2020 is applicable to equipment for arc welding and allied processes, including power sources and ancillary equipment, for example wire feeders, liquid cooling systems, arc striking and stabilizing devices and chargers for battery powered equipment. This fourth edition cancels and replaces the third edition published in 2014 and its Amendment 1:2015. This edition constitutes a technical revision. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition:
- updated normative references;
- requirements for battery powered equipment;
- requirements for equipment combined with radio transmitters/receivers.

IEC 62135-2:2020 is applicable to equipment for resistance welding and allied processes which are connected to mains supplies with rated voltages up to 1 000 V AC RMS. This document does not define safety requirements. This third edition cancels and replaces the second edition published in 2015. This edition constitutes a technical revision. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition:
- update of the applicable limits related to the updated references;
- implementation of radiated magnetic field requirements.

IEC 62822-3:2017 applies to equipment for resistance welding and allied processes designed for occupational use by professionals and for use by laymen.
This document specifies procedures for the assessment of human exposure to magnetic fields produced by resistance welding equipment. It covers non-thermal biological effects in the frequency range from 0 Hz to 10 MHz and defines standardized test scenarios.

IEC 62822-1:2016 is a product family standard, applies to equipment for resistance welding, arc welding and allied processes designed for occupational use by professionals and for use by laymen.

Specifies applicable standards and test methods for radio-frequency emissions; applicable standards and test methods for harmonic current emission, voltage fluctuations and flicker; immunity requirements and test methods for continuous and transient, conducted and radiated disturbances including electrostatic discharges. This new edition takes into account new editions of EMC publications.

Specifies test methods to be used in conjunction with CISPR 11 to determine radiofrequency emission; relevant standards and test methods for harmonic current emission, voltage fluctuation and flicker. Also defines immunity requirements and test methods for continuous and transient, conducted and radiated disturbances including electrostatic discharges.
