Standardization in the field of Low Voltage Direct Current (hereinafter referred to as LVDC) in order to provide systems level standardization, coordination and guidance in the areas of LVDC and LVDC for Electricity Access. To widely consult within the IEC community and the broader stakeholder community to provide overall systems level value, support and guidance to the TCs and other standards development groups, both inside and outside the IEC. To bring urgency to development of standards for Electricity Access enabling inclusive development of all communities.

Domaine d'application : Elaboration des normes dans le domaine du courant continu basse tension (dénommé ci-après LVDC) afin de fournir une standardisation, une coordination et des recommandations du niveau système dans les domaines du LVDC et du LVDC pour l'accès à l'électricité. Vaste consultation au sein de la communauté IEC et d'une communauté plus large de parties prenantes pour fournir des valeurs, un support et une orientation globale de niveau système aux TC et aux autres groupes d'élaboration de normes, tant en interne qu'en externe à l'IEC. Supporter l’urgente nécessité du développement de normes pour l’accès à l’énergie électrique, favorisant le développement du plus grand nombre de communautés.
General Information
IEC SRD 63317:2025 which is a systems reference deliverable describes certain aspects of standardization of LVDC in industrial applications. These industrial applications apply to the secondary economic sector where the processing of resources obtains to the production, distribution and storage of physical goods, especially in a factory or special area. This document covers the generation, distribution and consumption of LVDC power at these premises. This document follows the IEC Systems Approach from the domain to the gap analysis and give guidance by describing reference implementation.

IEC 63318:2022 This document specifies electrical systems that are intended to be used for electricity access and not connected to a public network such as product kits up to 35 V DC as specified in IEC 62257-9-5 and IEC 62257-9-8 for Tier 2 of the ESMAP Muti-Tier Framework for household electricity supply; and/or 48 V DC fixed installations, for Tier 3 of the ESMAP Muti-Tier Framework for household electricity supply. This document applies to Tier 2 and Tier 3 installations using SELV DC systems.
