Overview

EN 12778:2002/A1:2005 is the CEN European standard for cookware - pressure cookers for domestic use. It defines terms and sets out manufacturing, safety and functioning requirements, together with the corresponding tests and required information for marking, labelling and user notices. The standard applies to portable domestic pressure cookers with gross volume up to 25 L, and with working pressure > 4 kPa and < 150 kPa, whether heated by an integrated or independent heating source.
