Sanitary tapware - Measurement of functional performance of taps and showers
This document acknowledges the field of application for taps, shower outlets, shower sets and shower systems used in water supply systems with a pressure range of (0,05 to 1,0) MPa [(0,5 to 10) bar].
The tests described in this document are type tests (laboratory tests) and not quality control tests carried out during manufacture.
This document covers:
— PN10 taps;
— PN5 shower outlets;
— PN5 shower sets;
— PN10 shower systems.
The following products are excluded from this document:
— shower taps on its own;
— taps for filling bathtubs;
— the tub filling function of combined taps;
— the function of a tap that delivers e.g. boiling water or sparkling water, etc.;
— body or side jet showers.
The conditions of use for taps and shower systems are given in Table 1. The conditions of use for showers sets and shower outlets are given in Table 2.

- die Funktion zum Füllen von Badewannen bei Mischbatterien;
- die Funktion einer Armatur, die z. B. kochendes Wasser oder Sprudelwasser usw. liefert;
- Körper- oder Seitenbrausen.
Die Anwendungsbedingungen für Armaturen und Brausesysteme sind in Tabelle 1 angegeben. Die Anwendungsbedingungen für Brausegarnituren und Brausen sind in Tabelle 2 angegeben.

Le présent document inclut dans son champ d’application les robinets, douches, sets de douche et colonnes de douche utilisés dans les systèmes d’alimentation en eau fonctionnant dans une plage de pression de (0,05 à 1,0) MPa [(0,5 à 10) bar].
Les essais décrits dans le présent document sont des essais de type (essais en laboratoire) et non des essais de contrôle qualité effectués en cours de fabrication.
Le présent document couvre les produits suivants :
— robinets PN10 ;
— douches PN5 ;
— sets de douche PN5 ;
— colonnes de douche PN10.
Il ne s’applique pas aux produits suivants :
— robinets de douche seuls ;
— robinets de remplissage de baignoire ;
— fonction de remplissage de baignoire des robinets mélangeurs ;
— fonction d’un robinet qui fournit par exemple de l’eau bouillante, de l’eau gazeuse, etc. ;
— corps de douche latérale ou douches à jets latéraux.
Les conditions d’utilisation des robinets et des colonnes de douche sont données dans le Tableau 1. Les conditions d’utilisation des sets de douche et des douches sont données dans le Tableau 2.

Ta dokument opredeljuje področje uporabe pip ter izpustov, kompletov in sistemov za tuš, ki se uporabljajo v sistemih oskrbe z vodo z območjem tlaka od (0,05 do 1,0) MPa [(0,5 do 10) barov]. Preskusi, opisani v tem dokumentu, so tipski preskusi (laboratorijski preskusi) in ne kontrolni preskusi kakovosti, opravljeni med proizvodnjo. Ta dokument obravnava: – pipe PN10; – izpuste za tuš PN5; – komplete za tuš PN5; – sisteme za tuš PN10. This document defines the test procedures for the calculation of energy and measurements of functional
performance for taps, shower outlets, shower sets and shower systems in order to identify energy
efficient products.
This document does not define all requirements since these will be set by future EU legislation.
