This European Standard specifies a method for the stabilisation at 85 °C for 24 h of a binder after recovery from a bituminous emulsion or from a cut-back or fluxed bitumen for further testing.
It applies to all types of bituminous emulsions, modified with polymers or non-modified, and as well as to all types of cut-back and fluxed bitumen, both modified with polymers and non-modified.
The recovery test method is specified in EN 13074-1.

Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Stabilisierung eines Bindemittels nach der Rückgewinnung aus einer Bitumenemulsion oder verschnittenem oder gefluxtem Bitumen für 24 h bei 85 °C für weitere Prüfungen fest.
Sie gilt für alle Arten von Bitumenemulsionen, polymermodifiziert oder nicht modifiziert, sowie für alle Arten von verschnittenem und gefluxtem Bitumen, sowohl polymermodifiziert als auch nicht modifiziert.
Das Verfahren zur Rückgewinnung ist in EN 13074-1 festgelegt.
WARNUNG - Die Anwendung dieses Dokuments schließt auch den Umgang mit gefährlichen Substanzen und Ausrüstungen sowie die Durchführung gefährlicher Arbeitsschritte ein. Dieses Dokument beansprucht nicht, sämtliche mit seiner Anwendung verbundenen Sicherheitsprobleme zu behandeln. Die mit der Anwendung dieses Verfahrens verbundene Gefährdung wurde mit verschnittenem Bitumen mit 10 % Kerosin und mit 90 % Bitumen der Penetration 160/220 ermittelt und war niedrig genug, um als akzeptabel angesehen zu werden. Jedoch liegt es in der Verantwortung des Anwenders dieses Dokuments, geeignete Vorsichtsmaßnahmen für den Arbeits- und Gesundheitsschutz zu treffen und die Anwendbarkeit einschränkender Vorschriften vor der Anwendung zu bestimmen.

La présente Norme européenne prescrit une méthode de stabilisation à 85 °C pendant 24 h du liant obtenu après récupération à partir d’une émulsion de bitume ou d’un bitume fluidifié ou fluxé, pour permettre la réalisation d’essais ultérieurs.
Elle s’applique à tous les types d’émulsions de bitume, modifié avec des polymères ou non modifié, ainsi qu’à tous les types de bitumes fluidifiés et fluxés, modifiés avec des polymères et non modifiés.
La méthode d’essai de récupération est spécifiée dans la norme EN 13074 1.
AVERTISSEMENT - L'utilisation de la présente Norme européenne implique l'intervention de produits, d'opérations et d'équipements à caractère dangereux. La présente Norme européenne n'est pas censée aborder tous les problèmes de sécurité concernés par son usage. Les risques découlant de la mise en oeuvre de cette méthode ont été évalués en l’appliquant à un bitume fluidifié contenant 10 % de kérosène et 90 % de bitume de classe de pénétrabilité 160/220. Ta evropski standard določa metodo za stabilizacijo veziva pri 85 °C za 24 ur po ponovni pridobitvi iz bitumenske emulzije ali rezanega ali fluksiranega bitumna za nadaljnje preskušanje.
Uporablja se za vse vrste bitumenskih emulzij, spremenjenih s polimeri ali nespremenjenih, pa tudi za vse vrste rezanih in fluksiranih bitumnov, spremenjenih s polimeri in nespremenjenih.
Obnovitvena preskusna metoda je opisana v standardu EN 13074-1.

EN 13074-2:2019 (E) 3 European foreword This document (EN 13074-2:2019) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 336 “Bituminous binders”, the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by August 2019, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by August 2019. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights. This document supersedes EN 13074-2:2011. The main technical changes are: — more precise requirements for the ventilated oven (5.1) and the metallic plates (5.2), as well as for the placing of the plates within the oven (6.1); — description of additional equipment (spatula, oven, beaker) to be used for the removal and reheating of the stabilised binder (5.3 to 5.5); — shorter storage period of the stabilised binder samples before further testing (6.2); — more precise instructions (reheating temperatures and maximum reheating time) for the preparation of the stabilised binder sample prior to further testing (6.3).
