This document (prEN 645:2026) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 172 “Paper, pulp
and board”, the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This document is currently submitted to the CEN Enquiry.
This document will supersede EN 645:1993.
This document includes the following significant technical changes with respect to EN 645:1993:
— revision of the procedure section with the addition of detailed procedures for a 24 h extraction and
30 min extraction
— inclusion of an analyse clause for the filtrate;
— addition of a calculation section for the migration of individual compounds
1 Scope
This document specifies the preparation of a cold water extract for the determination of certain migrants
in paper and board intended to come into contact with foodstuffs.
