EN 13559:2003 is a CEN (European) standard that specifies the required properties and test methods for coextruded impact‑modified PMMA/ABS (acrylic/ABS) sheets used to manufacture domestic baths and shower trays. “Domestic purposes” includes residential buildings, hotels, student accommodation and similar facilities (excluding special medical installations). The standard sets performance, dimensional and durability criteria to ensure safety, appearance and long‑term serviceability of acrylic‑faced bath and shower panels.

- Resistance to wet/dry cycling and stress cracking: Procedures for wet/dry cycles and stress‑cracking tests are defined; time to first crack must be reported.
- Regulated substances: Heavy metal limits referenced to Directive 91/338/EEC apply.
