EN 60335-2-31:2014/A1:2023 is the CENELEC amendment (A1) to the European safety standard for range hoods and other cooking fume extractors. Based on IEC 60335-2-31:2012/A1:2016, it updates marking, instruction and construction requirements for household and similar electrical appliances used to extract cooking fumes. The amendment was approved by CENELEC (2021-09-06) and must be implemented nationally by 2023-12-02. It is intended to be used with EN 60335-2-31:2014 and Part 1 (EN 60335-1) of the household appliances safety family.

- Compliance and testing: Requirements are checked by inspection and by the relevant temperature/heat tests described in the amended clauses.

This amendment A1 modifies the European Standard EN 60335-2-31:2014; it was approved by CENELEC on 2021-09-06. CENELEC
