This standard specifies a method for assessing the poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) content in reprocessable and recyclable unplasticized (PVC-U) materials or materials derived from PVC-U products. In this standard, only the method for calculation of the PVC content is described, while for the determination of the chlorine content reference is made to prEN ISO 1158:1997. If the material contains or is supposed to contain chlorinated poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC-C) or chlorinated polyethylene (PE-C), an apparent PVC content is calculated.

Diese Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung des Polyvinylchlorid (PVC)- Gehaltes in Rücklaufmaterial oder Recyklat aus weichmacherfreiem Polyvinylchlorid (PVC-U) oder Produkten aus PVC-U fest. In dieser Norm wird nur das Verfahren zur Berechnung des PVC-Gehaltes beschrieben. Zur Bestimmung des Chlorgehaltes wird auf prEN ISO 1158:1997 verwiesen. Wenn der Werkstoff chloriertes Polyvinylchlorid (PVC-C) oder chloriertes Polyethylen (PE-C) enthält oder dies vermutet wird, wird der scheinbare PVC-C-Gehalt berechnet.

La présente norme spécifie une méthode pour le dosage du polychlorure de vinyle (PVC) dans les matieres non plastifiées (PVC-U) remises en oeuvre ou recyclables ou dans les matieres provenant de produits en PVC-U. Dans la présente norme, seule la méthode pour le calcul de la teneur en PVC est détaillée; pour la détermination de la teneur en chlore, il est fait référence a prEN ISO 1158:1997. Si la matiere contient ou est supposée contenir du polychlorure de vinyle chloré (PVC-C) ou du polyéthylene chloré (PE-C) la teneur apparente en PVC est calculée.
